Characteristics and Properties of a Thermal Natural Resource
1. The natural resource "hydro-drilling water I-IAM-1 of the Loutraki Perachora area", has a temperature of 33°C, electrical conductivity of 3836.7 μS/cm, active acidity (pH) of 7.3, radioactive elements: radon (Rn) 71.6 Bq/I (avg.), radium (Ra) 0.2 Bq/I (avg.), uranium (U238) <5 μg/l, chemical elements: magnesium (Mg), sodium (Na), chlorine (CI) and gases: hydrogen sulfide (H2S). The flow rate in cubic meters is 70 m3/h. The natural resource is characterized and identified as: moderately hydrosulfide, sodium chloride, magnesium, weakly radioactive thermal water.
2. Method of use: balneotherapy.
3. Medicinal properties: Indications: musculoskeletal and nervous system diseases, skin diseases
and gynecological diseases. Contraindications: systemic, contagious and malignant diseases, liver
and kidney failure.
The use of the thermal water is contraindicated in pregnant and breastfeeding women, people with a recent stroke or myocardial infarction, vascular surgery in a period of less than 6 months, severe
heart failure, liver failure, kidney failure (those on hemodialysis), active or advanced malignant disease, uncontrolled hypertension, active tuberculosis, etc.
